About Rotary

Rotary is a worldwide organization of more than 1.2 million business, professional and community leaders. Members of Rotary clubs, known as Rotarians, provide humanitarian service, encourage high ethical standards in all vocations and help build goodwill and peace in the world.

There are over 32,000 Rotary clubs in more than 200 countries and geographical areas. Clubs are nonpolitical, nonreligious and open to all cultures, races and creeds. As signified by the motto Service Above Self, Rotary’s main objective is service — in the community, in the workplace and throughout the world.

About Us

The Rotary Club of Grand Island was chartered in 1959 with 20 members.
Through Grand Island Rotary Club’s Service Programs, we supported various charities, organizations and projects since its inception. Some of these projects continue to evolve and have grown to be the community favorite events to participate in and support.

In addition, programs for youth educational opportunities and international exchanges for students, teachers and other professionals to enhance vocational and career development.

The Four-Way Test

Of the things we think, say or do...

First -
Is it the TRUTH?
Second -
Is it FAIR to all concerned?
Third -
Will it build GOOD WILL and BETTER FRIENDSHIPS?
Fourth -
Will it be BENEFICIAL to All concerned?
